All my purses are one-of-a-kind. They are made of patches of cotton and silk, with some hand dyed and embellished with hand cut stamps and stencils of my own original designs. The paint is acrylic, which is permanent. Most bags have a loop to button closure, which is either an antique button, or a hand made ceramic one. These are sewn on with bead embellishment. Some of the larger bags have a pocket on the back side with a snap closure.

The stamps and stencils that I use to transfer paint to my fabric art pieces are all made from recycled materials.Anything can end up in my fabric painting tool repertoire:shoe insoles, corks, styrofoam vegetable trays, jar lids, thread spools, etc.. I carve the stamp or stencil out of some of this stuff. Other items are used as is. Sometimes I glue two items together to create a tool for paint transfer.
