A challenge quilt made for the 1997 “Embellishment” show sponsored by Embellishment Magazine. A quilt of these dimensions was to be made using no less than 100 beads and buttons. This was a perfect marriage of theme and materials… Queen Elizabeth 1st was the most embellished person of all time! Hand painted face and hands and most border buttons. Trapunto, machine and hand quilting.
